Jenny Wright comes back to Marietta, Montana for her wedding to her Chicago boss, Charles. As 150 people wait in a the church, he tells her that he can't marry her. He knows that she comes from the wrong side of the tracks, and that isn't good enough for his family. Devastated, Jenny starts walking. Who does she meet at the corner, but town bad boy Colton Thorpe, who is now the town rodeo hero. Jenny has always had a crush on Colt, which he knows nothing about. They start spending time together, and the rest you'll need to read. I highly recommend it. A fabulous, romantic story!
This is the fourth book in the Copper Mountain Rodeo series. I loved every second of it. Each trip back to Marietta, bring old friends and new.
I loved it. Mostly because of the hero. OMG what a guy. Most girls dream, to finally get that guy you have had a crush on forever. Makes your heart flutter. It says something about a book when there are 45 reviews and EVERYONE liked it. Me included.
Jenny gets jilted on her wedding day. Crushed at the moment she eventually sees that in life everything happens for a reason and you will eventually see it worked for you instead of against you. The hero is the town "bad boy" all grown up. Still a bad boy but now a man. He is a professional bull rider and he is willing to grant her every "dream". GREAT story. I loved it.
You really get involved with these characters, they are both strong, smart, etc. So there is good dialogue between them and when he speaks, your hair curls!! Wow. I highly recommend. You will love it like the rest of us did!! I believe I have found a new author!! So far, 2 books read and loved them both. Great job Ms. porter.
It's Jenny Wright's wedding day. She's standing in a wedding dress she can't really afford and hours before the vows her fiance slash boss jilts her. Colt Thorpe, rodeo star extraordinaire, has just come into town when he sees a beauty on a corner in her wedding dress. He doesn't know her identity and upon learning about the jilting but stops to talk to her even as his mind tells him to not get involved with another woman. (He's recently divorced.)
I'm not sure where or how to start describing how amazing this novella is. While Charles Monmouth was jilting Jenny and telling her why, my chest hurt. I haven't been jilted before but I felt as if it was happening to me. I wanted to reach into my computer, backhand Monmouth to get him to stop talking and get Jenny away from him. I wanted to stop reading but because I wanted to know what was happening next I couldn't. I was so happy when Jenny realized that she was better off without Charles and a strong person on her own. I'm so glad she owned up to who she was; past and family included. I love that Colt was Jenny's childhood crush and that as an adult he was still a bad boy, but one with a heart of gold.
I do wish the novella had been longer, but I'm sure we'll see glimpses of them in other stories as we travel to Marietta, Montana. Jane Porter has once again written another fantastic story you don't want to miss.

This book is about Jenny and Colton. Jenny has returned home for her wedding and shockingly her fiance leaves her at the alter. She escapes the church full of family and friends on foot to avoid the further humiliation and heartache. What a farce of a relationship.
Colton, a rugged, sexy, national rodeo champion is back in town as the celebrity chair for the 75th Copper Mountain Rodeo. He finds the runaway bride escaping the church and helps her out. He is a man who goes after and gets what he wants and during the rodeo weekend he discovers he wants Jenny!
What a sweet story. I loved this book as well as the series and I highly recommend it. You won't be sorry!
Well written, with characters that will sweep you away, and a story that is not only believable, but enthralling, this book will grab your attention and keep it, from start to finish. Ms. Porter will not only have you feeling that you were there, but riding the emotional roller coaster, as Jenny Wright experiences not only the worst day of her life, but also her best. There couldn't possibly be anything else worst than being left at the alter without a groom, but to have the town gossips declaring that it's no surprise, being the bride is one of those wrong Wright girls. How low does a girl have to fall? Just when she thinks it can't get any worse, her childhood "crush" has to be the one to pick her up and drive her home. Especially when she realizes that Charles was never the man for her, and that she's still in love with Colton.
Even though this is the first of this series that I have had the distinct pleasure of reading, it is a total standalone and has certainly left me with a thirst to read the rest of the series. Well done!
